Anchorage - museum

There is a wonderful native peoples cultural center in Anchorage. Very interesting. Paul made it in on the airplane from Seatle.

We all dance for joy! Seriously, the dancers performed many dances from their various tribes.

The center had recreated houses from native peoples all over Alaska. They are very differnt from each other. Alaska is a truly big place with a wide variety of climates and building materials. I wonder what I would come up with if my only wood was drift wood on the beach. And it got to 70 below zero in the winter? I bet it wouldn't even come close to as effective a house as we saw.
